Doreen Mashika was born and raised in Tanzania and form a growing part of a homeward bound African diaspora. She studied and worked in the Financial Industry in Switzerland in the division of Luxury Goods Fund Management. This is where she made her first contact with Commercial Fashion Designers and developed a close inside view and appreciation of the sector. Her individual foray into the design sector on a professional and commercial level is subsequently inspired by a deep sense of affection for the immense cultural heritage and wealth of design possibilities that Africa possesses.
